Dimensions: 9 ¾ inches tall, 5 ½ inches wide, weighs 341 grams. History: The deceased were lowered tied to boards through long shafts into tombs where workers arranged the bodies in their final resting places, often alongside previously interred family members. Tomb figures were placed with the fallen to provide companionship, guidance, and protection in the afterlife. Description: Large female shaft tomb figure wearing a headwrap, large ear ornaments, and a fancy necklace. Arms reattached, otherwise intact. Overall Outstanding condition. Manganese Dioxide Reactivity Test Results: 40% hydrogen peroxide was applied to multiple manganese blooms that resulted in a chemical reaction confirming approximately 2000 years of underground burial.
