History: The deceased were lowered tied to boards through long shafts into tombs where workers arranged them in their final resting places, often alongside previous deceased family members. Tomb figures were placed with the fallen to provide companionship, guidance, and protection in the afterlife. Description: Tall male Shaman figure with shoulder nodes, wearing a headwrap, necklace, and a loincloth. Both arms and top of torso professionally reattached and restored. Mineral deposits confirm approximately 2000 years of underground burial. Overall excellent condition. Provenance: Ex. Private Nevada collection. Ex.
