History: The deceased were lowered tied to boards through long shafts into tombs where workers arranged them in their final resting places, often alongside previous deceased family members. Tomb figures were placed with the fallen to provide companionship, guidance, and protection in the afterlife. Description: Male Shaman figure with shoulder nodes, armbands, elaborate head wrap, and a necklace with a large shell pendant. No repairs or restorations found. Overall outstanding condition.
