History: The deceased were lowered tied to boards through long shafts into tombs where workers arranged the bodies in their final resting places, often alongside previously interred family members. Tomb figures were placed with the fallen to provide companionship, guidance, and protection in the afterlife. Description: Female Shaman figure with 18 shoulder nodes, wearing headgear and a necklace. Professionally restored from three original pieces.
