Acquired by John McIntosh, MSE, MBA, Ancient Artifacts & Treasures, Winter Park, Florida in 2022. Acquired by The Artifact City collection in 2025. Description: Large redware pedestal bowl. Extensive mineral deposits indicative of approximately 3000 years of underground burial. Multiple rim chips and some surface loss. No repairs or restorations found. Overall Good condition. King David is often looked upon as the most successful military conqueror in the history of the Israelite nation. By the end of his reign in 971 BC, the boundaries of Israel and the neighboring vassal kingdoms who paid tribute to David stretched across the Fertile Crescent from the Wadi of Egypt to the River Euphrates.
