Authentic Pre Columbian Artifact Chancay Lace Textile Shroud Spooky Spirits COA

This stunning lace piece has an extremely rare feature that makes it stand out from other similar pieces. On two sides there is a colorful banded edge that appears to have images of feline spirits carefully weaved into it. The lace has been woven into the band meaning that the band was not added to the lace after it was woven. The lace and band were weaved together at the same time. This make this piece very rare and possibly unique. I have been unable to find comparable examples. See detailed pics. This has not been cleaned. It is loosely sewed to a black fabric and can easily be removed without damaging any of the lace threads. I think the heart shapes are old repairs. I have not stretched it to make it perfectly square for pictures because I am weary about handling delicate items. However it can be stretched to make a perfect square and framed without tearing any of the threads if you are careful. The frame it is in for taking pictures is NOT included
